Craft Cider And Mead Made Right In Pittsburgh

Established in 2017, Threadbare produced high-quality craft ciders and meads produced with local apples + honey inspired by local legend Johnny “Appleseed” Chapman. Johnny Appleseed spent his long life collecting apple seeds from Cider Mills along the Monongahela River + carried them across the frontier into Ohio and Indiana to establish orchards for frontiersmen moving westward. Founders of the Cider House were inspired to bring hard cider production back to the Pittsburgh region by this story! Shop Threadbare Cider bottles at Ross Park Mall inside sister company Wigle Whiskey’s Bar, or at a beer distributor in the ‘Burgh. Threadbare Cider House is open for Private Events only. Stay tuned for upcoming trivia night dates and times.
