Secret History of History: Spies and Spirits of the Revolution

June 19 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$25

This event is at the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse, 1055 Spring Garden Ave, Pgh 15212.

Whiskey, spies, and rebellion: a winning combination for the Patriots in the 1770s and for you in 2018. Spend an evening enjoying tales and tactics of the cunning spies George Washington depended on in the magnificent mansion dedicated to the War’s memory and toast them with whiskey distilled just as it was at that time. Tickets include an Old Fashioned cocktail made with Wigle Whiskey and cider samples from Threadbare, Pittsburgh’s award-winning craft Distillery and Cider House, while the Spy Museum’s Vince Houghton and Jacqueline Van Eyl give you an exciting rundown of the wildest true tales of the brave and wily men and women who spied for Independence. After their talk try more Wigle samples, tour the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse and try your hand at using George Washington’s own invisible ink.
